This was a waste recovery challenge to minimize losses of broken proteic pasta by a company called Solaris. The company produces bread, biscuits, pasta and many more products with high protein and fibre aimed at sportspeople and for weight control. The PROT(ECO) team was given the challenge to minimize losses, which brought forth the creation of a cookie (ECO)OKIE which could be made with the same ingredients already present in the company by also simply blending the pasta to make a flour. A secondary challenge was to recover the left over parts which were not blended, therefore creating a protein rich cous cous assuring complete waste recovery.
