Workshop: "New training methodologies to match opportunities and challenges for sustainability in the agri-food sector"

Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN by 2030 not only requires new mindsets, innovative ideas and future-oriented solutions, but also the involvement and commitment of all stakeholders worldwide. Herein, the agribusiness and food production sector plays a crucial part, as it has the potential to deliver more than 25% of the 169 associated targets of the SDGs. However, the implementation of the SDGs remains too limited and calls for a stronger collaboration among academia, industry and society. How this should look like and what kind of new training approaches are needed to equip food professionals, entrepreneurs and, more broadly, workforce with the required competences, will be discussed by experts from ASKFOOD, SDGs Labs and further inspiring stakeholder representatives.
